Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission to consider eliminating third-party scoring

AMCC settles suit with multiple companies

Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é learned the Alabama Medical Cannabis Commission has settled suits with multiple companies, the reason why the licensing process has been paused.

The commission is set to ratify the settlement at its meeting Monday.

Members of the commission then will toss out scores from a third party used to try and award licenses previously.

This is not the first time the licensing process has been held up, due to other legal challenges.

The first set of licenses awarded were thrown out due to scoring inconsistencies and the second set were paused by a judge amid multiple lawsuits.

We will stay on top of developments out of Monday's commission meeting in Montgomery.
