Court records show an Athens man faces charges for starting a fire during the drought.
Thomas Wallace, 70, was cited in Limestone County after being accused of flicking a cigarette into a burn pile in the area of Cross Key Road and Highway 127.
The state was under a no-burn order at the time Wallace is accused of sparking the fire on November 10th.
Wallace is scheduled for an arraignment hearing November 23rd.Â
