Panoply Arts Festival day 1

One of the biggest arts events in the southeast is back in Rocket City. The Panoply Arts Festival is happening all weekend long. Thousands of people showed up to enjoy the festivities on the first day.

It’s an event bringing people in North Alabama and beyond together. The first day of this year’s Panoply Arts Festival was jam-packed with fun.

Art, music, games, and plenty of food—there’s something for everyone at the festival.

Many people attending the festival say it’s one of the best events of the year in Huntsville. Artists from Huntsville and across the country are showing off their work.

Local photographer Jeff White said, “I’ve been coming to Panoply since it was started. I was born here in Huntsville. And once I got old enough to volunteer, I started volunteering here, and I was actually the chair of a couple tents here years ago, and now, as a working artist, I apply for Panoply every year. Most years I get in, and I'm very happy about that. It's a great time for me and my family. We love it.â€

Local artist Ase Selah said, “It's a must-do. It's part of the experience of the artist journey, in my opinion. If you are an artist and you haven't been to Panoply, I would suggest doing so.â€

The different types of cuisine are also a big part of the festival. The lemonade and funnel cakes are popular favorites at Panoply.

Panoply runs all weekend long. Saturday, the event runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
