10 AVE Decatur shooting scene

No arrests occurred 24 hours after a deadly shooting in Decatur on 10th Avenue NE. On Thursday, the Decatur Police Department identified the victim as 23-year-old Jared Bolden.

Decatur Police say investigators found the car allegedly connected to the crime at an apartment complex off Cedar Lake Road.

Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é spoke with victim Jared Bolden’s mother on the phone. She tells us she is in shock and completely devastated. It’s a very sad situation for her family because she has now lost three of her children in three years.

We previously reported that Bolden's sister, DeJa, was killed in July 2021. Police charged 25-year-old Macray Williams with murder. They say her body was found with several stab wounds.

The family of Jared Bolden is urging anyone in the public with information about Wednesday's deadly shooting to contact the Decatur Police Department.

Police says the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time. The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sain at 256-341-4845 or the police department's tip line at 256-341-4636.
