More hot weather ahead

Heating up into the weekend

Typical summer heat and humidity remains the weather story through the weekend. We will turn hotter again later this week. Next week brings better prospects for seeing some rain.

Clouds will hang in tonight, but it's looking dry. We'll be warm and muggy with overnight lows in the low 70s.

Expect mostly cloudy conditions again on Wednesday, but no rain is expected. Temperatures will warm back to around 90.

Sunshine and the temperatures will increase as we wrap up the week and head into the weekend. By week's end we'll be back in the mid 90s and over the weekend we could hit the upper 90s again. With the humidity it will feel more like the low 100s.

Temperatures will ease just a few degrees next week but it will still remain hot and humid. Scattered showers and storms will be back on a daily basis, primarily during the heat of the afternoon.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy. Lows in the low 70s. Wind: SE 5 mph

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the upper 80s. Wind: SE 10-15 mph.
