A Hartselle man was arrested after police say a woman reported she believed she was being followed.

According to the Hartselle Police Department, 50-year-old Brannon Roy Bray was charged with electronic stalking Thursday.

Police say they had responded to a harassing communications call for service when the victim told the officer she believed she was being followed by the suspect as well.

From his previous experience with these cases, police say one of their officers thought to check the victim’s vehicle and was able to locate a magnetic GPS tracking device attached to the undercarriage of the victim’s vehicle.

The case was turned over to an investigator, who police say was able to obtain evidence proving the device belonged to Bray, and combined with other information was able to prove the information had been used to surveil, stalk, and harass the victim.

Bray was brought in to the Hartselle Police Department for questioning and was arrested. He was booked into the Morgan County Jail with a $2,500 bond.
