Hazel Green teen killed in single-vehicle crash

A 16-year-old from Hazel Green died in a single-vehicle crash around 9:30 p.m. Saturday night. 

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the 2012 Ford Fusion the teenager was driving left the roadway on Elkwood Section Road, which is two miles north of Hazel Green. 

The vehicle hit a tree stump and the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. 

ALEA said they are continuing to investigate the crash.
