A man was arrested at an apartment complex in Gadsden on an active warrant for sodomy.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, the case had previously been presented to a grand jury in July and an indictment was issued against Sidney Earl McDuffie II.
With the assistance of the Gadsden Police Department and Etowah County Sheriff's Office "Rural Area Patrol" unit, McDuffie was successfully taken into custody without incident Wednesday.
The sheriff’s office says McDuffie will be held with no bond, pending a hearing.
