A man is in the Madison County Jail after police say he led them on a chase and crashed into a utility pole.
Jon Evans is charged with attempting to elude and driving under the influence.
Huntsville Police say an officer tried to pull him over on Pratt Avenue around 6 p.m.
Evans finally stopped after crashing into a utility pole at the intersection of California Street and Wells Avenue.
His bond is set at $3,500 dollars.
