Project Literacy looking for Marshall County volunteers

  • Updated
  • 0

A Marshall County company needs volunteers to help kids in the community.

Progress Rail's Project Literacy Program connects those who love reading with elementary school students who need some extra help.

Each volunteer will read with two students for 30 minutes each once a week.

Volunteers will also receive training on specific lessons to maximize the sessions during the school year.

Progress Rail is a supplier of railroad and transit system products and services headquartered in Albertville.

It started Project Literacy and Project Graduation to equip students in the community with mentors who encourage them in elementary and high school.

If you are interested in volunteering, contact Jessica Webb at jwebb@progressrail.com or 256-506-8022.
