Sign up for Angel Tree Program in the Shoals

The Salvation Army of the Shoals is getting into the Christmas spirit a little early.

The nonprofit will start taking applications for its Angel Tree Program on Wednesday.

Below are the dates and times you can stop by to register:

Sept. 18 

  • 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Sept. 19

  • 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Sept. 20

  • 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Residents of Lauderdale, Franklin, and Colbert counties who are children from birth to 17 years of age and adults 55 and older are eligible for the Angel Tree Program.

Applications are limited to one per household.

To apply, the following must be brought during a registration period:

  • ID for each adult in the household
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income (SNAP or Medicaid letters, Section 8 or HUD lease documents, TANF)
  • If you don't receive assistance, bring verification of the income for the household and proof of expenses like rent, utilities, loans and car payments.)
  • Birth certificate and social security card for each child applying (child must be your biological child or you must produce documents showing you have custody)
