Authorities arrested an Athens man on drug charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday.
It happened on Hine Street.
Agents say they recovered 8.3 ounces of meth and a pistol during the traffic stop.
Travis Freeman, 48, of Athens, was arrested and charged with drug trafficking. Freeman is currently out on bond.
