Two Sheffield police officers injured after crash

UPDATE:

Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é has more details regarding the wreck that occurred between two Sheffield officers.

According to the Sheffield Police Department, officers were en route to a burglary in progress call on N. Nashville Avenue about 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

While en route, police say two officers collided with each other at the intersection of N. Atlanta Avenue and 6th Street.

Police say both officers were transported to Helen Keller Hospital for injuries. They are suspected to make a full recovery.

The wreck is being investigated by the Tuscumbia Police Department.

A head-on crash between two cars with the Sheffield Police Department has left two officers in the hospital.

According to Sheffield Mayor Steve Stanley, the officers were responding to a call before colliding at the intersection of Hatch Boulevard and Atlanta Avenue, just before noon.

Those officers are said to have non-life threatening injuries.

A third person was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
