The Priceville Bulldogs take the spotlight in WAAY's 31 Teams in 31 Days.
This year will be a season of change for the Priceville Bulldogs. The program will move up to 5A and it brings in Seth Parker as its new head coach. Parker takes over for Chris Foster, who went 40-18 in five seasons before leaving for Brookwood High School.
“It’s been nothing but great, just in terms of the kids being open to something new,†Parker said. “I’d be amiss if I didn’t say how much I appreciate and respect what coach Foster and his staff have done. I mean, the foundation is there.â€
Players say they are taking the adjustment well.
“I think the guys have really come together in the transition,†senior Tyde Borden said. “I think that there’s a new life around the locker room, given the new coach and the new start.â€
It hasn’t taken Parker long to feel part of the community.
“There’s a lot of pride there,†he said. “That’s somewhere where I want to be, I want my family to be.â€
Now Priceville looks to get back to its winning ways after a 5-7 record in 2023.
“We have to have leaders step up,†Borden said. “One thing we’ve lacked in the past, specifically last year, was leaders. I think this year, already we have more leaders than we did last year.â€
