A man’s body was recovered from the Tennessee River Sunday morning. This is following a report of a missing person at Hard Dock Marina, according to the Decatur Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene approximately 6:25 a.m. after a group reported their friend had jumped off a boat and did not resurface.
The body was recovered around 7 a.m. That's when Limestone County Coroner Mike West was notified and responded to the scene.
Decatur Police expressed a local fisherman helped with the efforts alongside, the Morgan County Rescue Squad, and Decatur Fire and Rescue.
