A Hazel Green man was arrested for driving under the influence while driving a bus full of kids.

Jail records show 44-year-old Christopher Brazelton was booked into the Madison County Jail Monday.

Digging through court records, Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é News found the bus he is accused of driving while drunk or on drugs is registered to the Madison County Board of Education.

We reached out to the Madison County School System to confirm Brazelton is the same bus driver who hit another car before driving off Dan Crutcher Road near Wall Triana Highway on Monday.

But the district will not say if this is that bus driver or yet another behind the wheel and under the influence while trusted to safely take kids home.

The school system previously told us they are waiting on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency to finish its investigation before it would say anything.

However, it will confirm the students on yesterday's bus allegedly driven by a drunk driver were from Sparkman Middle School and no one on board was hurt. The school system is now evaluating its transportation procedures.

We also reached out the Madison County Sheriff's Office and were told it has no information.
