An accused killer in Colbert County is back behind bars, this time for a child abuse charge.
Court records show James Whiteside was arrested Thursday.
A grand jury indicted him last week for allegedly abusing his own son.
Whiteside was arrested in December 2021 after a deadly shooting at "Jokers" in Sheffield.
An affidavit from a Sheffield police officer claims an argument inside the club led to the shooting.
It says Whiteside shot and killed Kayln Horrison and injured two other people, including a security guard.
Whiteside has been out on bond since last year.
